Read about a student’s experience with Uhuru Walk
“Walking the Uhuru Walk is one of the best experiences I have had, fatigue definitely wasn’t an element of it; rather, it was all about having fun.
The walk gave me the chance to interact with new people around me, whilst having an endpoint in my mind. Treasure hunts have always intrigued me, therefore it was a must thing for me to take part in the event!
An additional advantage apart from the excitement was the hints which were very tricky, and it definitely made us think out of the box. An added value towards this was that together we were also involved in performing a small gesture of kindness: a charity aimed towards bread donation. Finally, given that it was teamwork, where all of us had to work together, it also taught me the importance of collectiveness and how to cooperate and support one another to achieve our goals.
I’m looking forward to seeing such events organised very frequently.”
