Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Imran Karmali, a prominent Tanzanian business leader, has been recognised in Forbes Africa Tanzania 2026, an achievement he describes as a collective milestone rather than a personal triumph.

In a reflective statement, Karmali emphasised that the recognition belongs to the hundreds of employees, technicians, managers, partners, and customers who have supported the growth of GF, the group of companies he leads. What began as a small family business has evolved into a significant player in Tanzania’s industrial landscape, employing hundreds of locals and focusing on local vehicle assembly.

“The recognition belongs to every employee who believed in a vision when it was still just an idea,” Karmali said. “It belongs to the technicians who built vehicles with pride, the sales teams who earned customer trust, the managers who carried responsibility, the partners who stood with us, and the customers who chose to believe in a Tanzanian company.”

GF’s journey reflects broader ambitions for Tanzania’s industrial development. The company has expanded from modest beginnings into a group that assembles vehicles locally, creates employment opportunities, and contributes to the nation’s manufacturing capabilities.

Karmali highlighted the dedication and sacrifices of both current and former team members, referring to them as the “GF family.” He expressed gratitude to customers and stakeholders for their sustained trust over the years.
