What Happens When Reading Feels Like Recess?
The Kiddies Book Gym at Meadows Schools
Early Childhood Literacy & Development: Kiddie´s Book Gym
Early Childhood Literacy & Development: Step into a world where joyful reading meets movement, and little minds grow with leaps and bounds. Welcome to The Kiddies Book Gym, a one-of-a-kind literacy program created for children aged 2 to 5 years at Meadows Schools, designed to make reading fun, physical, and foundational.
Why settle for ordinary when your child can thrive in extraordinary ways?
From June 30 to August 1, every weekday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the Kiddies Book Gym transforms reading into a delightful experience, where rhythm, motion, and imagination come together to spark early literacy.
Two Tailored Programs. One Powerful Mission.
We offer age-specific programs that respond to children’s cognitive and emotional stages:
Bounce & Giggle Crew (Ages 2–3): Introduces playful sounds and exciting rhythms, sparking big reading beginnings and joyful discoveries.
Sound Builders (Ages 4–5): Builds fluency, confidence, and reading stamina through interactive activities and sound-based literacy games.
Every session is packed with hands-on reading strategies fused with movement, proven to enhance memory, attention span, empathy, and creative thinking. Children aren’t just learning letters; they’re building a lifelong love for language.
What Sets This Experience Apart?
Reading isn’t a quiet corner chore here – it’s a gymnasium of ideas. We’ve designed a dynamic and supportive space where books come alive and children actively participate in their stories. It’s cognitive stimulation meets joyful play.
Each week, children engage with:

Why this Early Childhood Literacy & Development Camp?
It’s Joyfully Child-Centred
We don’t just teach reading – we celebrate it. The Kiddies Book Gym meets each child at their developmental level, ensuring they don’t feel overwhelmed or under-challenged. The use of cosmic yoga, sensory toys, and emotion-based stories creates an environment where learning feels like play and progress is felt deeply.
It’s Developmentally Balanced
Unlike traditional reading programs, The Kiddies Book Gym is built on a multi-sensory curriculum that recognises that cognitive development is best achieved when physical movement and emotional engagement are part of the equation. The reading gym sessions integrate rhythm and play with literacy skills, making learning both effective and unforgettable.
It Supports Families, Too
By offering resources like the parent workshops, reusable reading logs, and access to a curated online library, we extend the impact beyond the classroom. Parents become allies in their child’s reading journey. The bonuses aren’t gimmicks – they’re thoughtfully designed to create continuity between school and home.
