A revival of universal divine values

Globalisation and the technological advancements have made it possible to see every corner of the world, and the image we have been seeing has been very sour – with wars, bloodshed, violence, broken homes, misguided youth, abuse of women and other social perils. Selfishness has become our identity.Materialism has reached great heights and become our goal.
Humanity has slipped from our hands.We have lost our identity and purpose. Where are the teachings of our Creator today? Can we claim to be the followers of the Almighty and His Prophets (peace be upon them)?
The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at UDSM has organized an interfaith seminar with visiting scholar Dr. Zafar Bangash and other prominent speakers to discuss the need for the revival of universal divine values in Tanzania and the world at large.
